THE WORKSHOP

Bold lighting, clean, stylish commercial fashion and cracking the art of model direction.
3 educators in 1 day. The ultimate studio masterclass!

Levelling Up in the Studio is designed for beginner to intermediate photographers who are ready to move beyond the basics, build confidence, and create studio images with real style and impact. Less “where do I stand?” and more “right, let’s make this look incredible.”

You’ll shoot hands-on throughout the day with 3 educators, professional models, and a range of fashion setups designed to push your skills further.

- With Jason, you’ll dive into fashion lighting, learning how to create clean, striking setups with shape, mood, and editorial polish.

- With Naomi, you’ll focus on commercial fashion portraiture, model direction, and cracking the art of guiding models confidently to create natural, powerful imagery without the awkwardness.

- And with Katie, a professional fashion model and posing expert, you’ll explore different styles of fashion and commercial posing, learning how movement, expression, and direction can completely transform your shots while you shoot in real time.

Expect plenty of shooting, experimenting, creative problem-solving, and portfolio-worthy images to take away with you.

Naomi

YOUR EDUCATOR

Naomi

Co-founder, Commercial & Creative

Naomi co-founded Creativity Hub in 2017 and leads on all corporate partnerships and strategic sponsorships. She works with leading photography brands to bring the best kit into the room, giving photographers direct, hands-on access to the tools that shape their work on the day.

She loves working in high-pressure creative environments and uses that experience to shape events where photographers can produce stronger, more ambitious work.

Katie

YOUR EDUCATOR

Katie

Casting Director

Katie heads the casting director's office, the longer-arc work of finding new models, performers, dancers, period specialists, and stunt-trained subjects to keep the casting roster fresh. Often seen running around backstage with a clipboard, she's equal parts talent scout and movement expert and she knows exactly when someone has “it”, and how to get them in the room!

If you're a working model, performer, or specialist looking to work with the Hub, Katie is who you talk to. The casting database is open to new applicants twice a year.

Jason

YOUR EDUCATOR

Jason

Lead Educator, Content

Jason is the technical brain behind the lighting setups, studio systems, and digital backbone of the Hub. From cinematic portrait lighting to high-end commercial setups, he teaches photographers how to shape light with confidence while somehow making the technical feel creative, simple, and genuinely fun.

When he’s not leading lighting education, Jason is usually behind the scenes building, fixing, upgrading, or reinventing the Creativity Hub digital world, from the website and event systems to the little innovations nobody notices until they stop working. Part photographer, part educator, part full-time tech fixer, he’s the reason both the lights and the website stay on.
